Irene Curry, MSN, FNP-C is your health coordinator
Irene Curry is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for nursing that started at a young age. She brings a wealth of experience to Advanced Physical Medicine. With over 14 years of clinical experience, her rich and varied professional career has included staff, administrative, and nursing instruction positions in such departments as the Trauma/Surgical ICU/Floors, Medical ICU/Floors, Cardiovascular ICU/Floors, Neurological ICU/Floors, Operating Room, Pre/Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Endoscopy, Cardiac Cauterization/Electrophysiology Lab, Emergency Room, Clinic, Oncology Floor/Outpatient Clinic, and Nursing Education.
As a young, ambitious, and determined 19-year-old, Irene obtained her LPN/RN Associate Degree at Gateway Community College in 2001/2003. She continued to advance her career and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree from Grand Canyon State University in 2011, immediately followed by her Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix and her certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners in 2014.
Irene believes in integrative medicine, combining the appropriate use of alternative and conventional methods to assist the body’s own innate healing ability. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Irene practices in alternative medicine at Advanced Physical Medicine, as well as conventional medicine at Urgent Care Extra. In all aspects of life, integrative medicine is healing oriented medicine that takes into account the whole person; in body, mind, and spirit.
On the personal side, Irene lives in Phoenix (East Valley), Arizona since 1998, she has two daughters and two dogs. In her spare time, Irene enjoys cooking, travelling, hot yoga, weight lifting, kick-boxing, roller skating, and spending time with family.
